reflection and refraction
Our KSTF meeting focused on Differentiated Instruction, and though we
didn’t do much with lesson study at that meeting particularly, we met in
February in Montpelier, VT and continued to flesh out the activities for our
lesson study. We listed our class activities and instructional sequence in the
documents below.
This was just prior to the first time either of us would teach this, so it felt
really important to have all the details nailed down. It was good to have a
fellow teacher with whom to work out these details, to make sure that the
concepts were well-scaffolded and flowed logically. This was not a very
difficult task, the hardest part was merely melding our ideas together such
that we were both satisfied with the sequence.
